27. November 2009
Today we got together with Queen´s puppies and we had a lot of fun!
They are developing great and their owners are so happy with them.
Here are few pictures of the puppies at four months of age.

3. October
The Icelandic Kennel Clubs last show of the year was held this weekend.
We didn’t enter any of our dogs because of Anna’s ring steward studies.
But of course she showed a few German Shepherds and there among ISW-07 ISCH Gildewangens Istan and his three daughters.
They won best of breed progeny group and than later in the day Best In Show Progeny Group.

2. October
Now, all the puppies have left to their new homes and we miss them a lot. They are doing great and their new owners are very happy.
One of the puppies, Gunnarsholts Trix will continue be ours but she will live with very good friends that take good care of her for us.

28. September
Today the puppies became 8 weeks old. We went with them all to the vet for a check and gladly they all got complements from the vet and are now ready to leave for the big world.

20. September
“Grandma Dísa”, owner of the Gunnarsholts prefix and a very good friend of ours came today to see the puppies. They didn’t want to let us take a lot of pictures but instead they just wanted to play.

29. August
The puppies became 4 weeks old today and like other days we went with them out in the garden to play. They have gotten their names and they are Gunnarsholts Trix, Gunnarsholts Thule and Gunnarsholts Tristan.

22.-23 August
This weekend Anna showed Bliss on a double show held by the Icelandic Kennel Club.
On Saturday she was shown under the judge Jean Lenning and she became best of breed with her first Icelandic certificate.
On Sunday she was shown again and than under the judge Rune Fagerström and she again became best of breed with her second Icelandic certificate.

10. August
We cant stop looking at our beautiful puppies, enjoy it with us ;)

4. August
The puppies are doing great and they are getting bigger and bigger by the minute. Queen does a perfect job taking care of the puppies ;)

3. August
Tonight there were born 3 healthy German shepherd puppies after our wonderful Queen.

1. July
This month certainly begins well. It was confirmed that Queen is pregnant so we can start to prepare the arrival of the puppies.

25.-27. June
What a great weekend!!
The Icelandic Kennel Clubs summer show was held this weekend and had Anna been invited to judge junior handling on the Friday night.
On Saturday we showed the German Shepherds and we had entered Queen.
She won a big open class with excellent and champion quality and than became best bitch with her first Icelandic certificate.
Best of breed was her “boyfriend” ISW-07 ISCH Gildewangens Istan and was the judge very impressed with our mating.
On Sunday we showed Joy and Bliss under the judge Svein Helgesen from Norway.
Joy became best of breed with her second Icelandic certificate.
Bliss became second best female with champion quality.

2. June
ISW-07 ISCH Gildewangens Istan is here for a visit for few days. He is being mated with our Queen and hopefully we will be expecting puppies in 63 days.

20. May - 26. May
Anna had the honor of being invited to judge junior handling on a international show in Österbybruk in Sweden this weekend.
She stayed at our good friend, co-owner and breeder to our beloved Joy and Bliss, Sussie Karlström and family.
On Thursday they went to Ragnhild Ulin, another good friend and the other owner Kennel Almanza.
Sussie and Ragnhild held a grooming course for Almanza dog owners.
Ragnhild who is a certified FCI judge held a lecture about the anatomy of the breed.

On saturday there were born seven beautiful puppies at Ragnhilds home. In that litter of puppies there is a Iceland traveller and are we extremely excited.

Anna´s next judge appointment is judging junior handling at the Icelandic Kennel Club´s show 26 of june 2009.

9th May
Joy and Bliss got their eyes checked today by the danish vet  Finn Boserup.
Both of them have healthy eyes.

10th April
Today the club for the Icelandic Kennel Clubs working dogs held their annual meeting. Steinar was elected in the clubs board and is very much looking forward to this exciting task.

9th -12th April
Over the easters we all went to visit Anna´s mom in Höfn in Hornafjörður, which is in the eastern part of the country.
Anna´s mother has four Siberian Husky´s, therefor our dog group became quite large;)
Like always, it was wonderful to spend the weekend there and we had a great time.

30. March
We just got the results from Queen´s elbow ex-ray and we are so happy to announce that she is also free from elbow dysphasia.

21. March
Today we got some great news all the way from Sweden!
Our Bliss´s mother, Almanza Belle Of The Ball "Spira" became a Swedish Champion today
We congratulate, our dear friend and breeder to our wonderful Bliss and Joy, Sussie Karlström with those fantastic results!

14. March
Today Queen participated in a obedience test brons held by the Icelandic Kennel Club and we are very pleased with the results.
She was in 1 place with the highest points, 165 points of 180 possible.

Queen is so eager to learn and she has such willing to do well and to please us!

1. March
Since Anna is a groomer she had much work to do on this dog show weekend grooming other peoples dogs also.
We woke up tired this morning but very excited since it was Joy, Bliss and Champ´s turn in the showring.
The Flatcoated Retrievers where judged by Laurent Pichard from Switzerland.
Joy won the junior class and Bliss became second. Both with excellent and champion quality.
They competed with the champion female and Joy became best female and got her first certification and Bliss became third.
Joy competed with the best male and became Best Of Breed !
Later that day she competed in a large group and got in second place, only at 15 months of age!

Joy´s kritik:
Excellent type. 15 months old, very well matured. Beautiful expression and head.
Proper rib cage, strong hindquarters. Very nice coat. Excellent neck and shoulders.
Excellent mover. Excellent presented.

Bliss´s kritik:
Very attractive 14 months black female. Stylish and shown in a very good condition. Could have more foreface.
Good size. Excellent coat. Excellent presented. Moves well.

Steinar ran than into the ring with Champ in the working class and he got excellent. The Dobermann´s where judged by Hans Van Dan Berg.
Champ got a good kritik and became second best male.

Here is Champ´s kritik:
Good in bone and substance. Nice headshape. Flat skull. Excellent expression. Good ear-set. Sufficient forechest.
A bit long in body. Excellent croup and rear. The tan is a bit light in color. Good temperament. Moves with drive.
Front movement could be stronger.

28. februari
Today Anna showed your Queen, in an International dogshow held by the Icelandic Kennel Club.
43 German Shepherds where entered and Queen shown in open class. The breed was judged by Hans Van Den Berg from the Netherlands.
Queen won a big open class with excellent and champion quality.
In the competition of best female, she became third best female.

This is Queen´s kritik:
Excellent in type. Very nice in size, bone and substance. Good head shape.
Excellent ear-set. Nice eyes. Good forechest. Good coat texture. On the move she could use her
hindquarters more.

7.-8. February
Over the weekend Anna attended a ring stewarding course held by the Icelandic Kennel Club.
The seminar was great in every way and is Anna looking very much forward to working as a ring steward at the dogshows in the future.

24. January 2009
Today we started on a Retriever seminar Joy and Bliss held by Hundalíf dogschool www.hundalif.is
We all had a great time and are looking very much forward to next training ;)

Over the weekend Anna had a wonderful weekend on Höfn in Hornafjörður where her mother lives with their Siberian Husky dogs.
Anna’s mother also has two very cute little 9 weeks old puppies so there was very much fun in the house.

Our new website is finally in the air !

Today there was a international dogshow in Göteborg, Sweden called MyDog. We got fantastic news that Bliss’s litter sister Almanza So Enough “Alva” got her first CC today only one years and one day old !
What a great day for Alva and her proud owner, our very good friend Åsa Krantz.
